My Story

In september 11, 2001, I started my HVAC business…

Thanks for stopping… I’m Steve Stauffer, founder of Genesis Business Strategies — husband to my high school sweetheart, Becky, dad to four kids, and Pappy to four amazing grandkids.
We stated our HVAC business on September 11, 2001 with the same dream most of you have had, freedom of my schedule and more income… and frankly while not running away from God, not following Him like I should. Although He blessed us more than we deserved, I’ve always had this sinking feeling that there is something more God has for me. Now, I can’t be two different people (or four as the case of some – Business owner, husband, father, and someone different at church… that just doesn’t work for me). In Dec of 2019, we sold the HVAC business where I was also coaching other companies in my spare time. I decided to go into full-time coaching.
As I said, for years I’ve coached business owners on the practical side of running a company… finding better clients, stronger systems, more profit, more time back. And along the way I kept having the same conversation with Christian men in that space: the business problem was never really just a business problem, it always came back to the struggle of their faith journey with the desires of wanting and achieving more. They were like me trying to keep business and the mission God has for them separate, and struggling with it. Feeling empty, not fulfilled, at odds with their spouse.

This Cohort, is Genesis Business Strategies bringing both halves of that conversation — the operational and the spiritual — into the same room. It’s using Your Business as Your Mission. Not trying to find your mission outside your business, Join us as we walk through this together.
